Wondering if anyone has any experience with this?

I'm hell bent on getting rid of cable, and could honestly do without live tv if it weren't for sports. Vue is the best service for my needs with regional sport channels, DVR, and multiple streams.

HOWEVER, I am running it through the new firestick and the sports performance is subpar. I'm pretty sure that the problem is on Sony's end as their app for amazon is only delivering 30fps and it's very noticeable watching sports.

Anyone with any experience with this or any suggestions?

Yes, I use this. Don't get the firestick get the fire tv. If you can plug it directly into the router for best performance. Add a tv antenna for local channels.

You can also sideload kodi which is amazing. There is a thread pinned on the tech board with instruction how to do this.

Point taken. Does the Vue stream to Fire TV at 60fps?

yes, and it's wifi range is much better, although I think you should plug into it regardless.

won't be able to, or don't want to?
If it's in your living room, I would think there's cable there currently. If cable is there, then you can drop an Ethernet. I dropped ethernets myself in every room I could. Like I said, if there's already cable there, then it shoudlnt be to difficult. Key word shouldn't.
I couldn't drop Ethernet in my bedroom or the kitchen b/c of vaulted ceilings. That's were my Firetv's are b/c they have better wifi range than the Roku. The Firestick and RokuStick have trouble with the signal when they are 15 feet from the router, going through one wall. The two firetv's work just fine 30 feet and 2 rooms away from the router.

I use Vue on FTV, and it works fine. I've never had any issues with sports lagging. I tried out DTVNow and Sling, and I have since switched back to PSVue. It is the superior program in my opinion

Nothing is impossible of course, but it would be a nightmare trying to run Ethernet in my house.

I'm hoping (guess that's all I have) that the wifi will be sufficient

well if you're going to run Ethernet, now is the time to do it. not something you want to do in the spring, or summer, or early fall. You've got about a 2-3 month window you can do it without sweating your arse off.

The wifi works fine for me. I just prefer to be plugged in for the tvs I will be watching something like an LSU game on. I dont' want any reason for the internet to give way and buffer or go out.

That's the one thing that has held me up this long. I can do with or without love TV to be honest. I watch it occasionally, but wouldn't kill me if I didn't have it.

However, if my stream goes out during a Mizzou game I'm going to fricking flip.

Just hoping for the best at this point.

Well I've been streaming LSU and pelicans games for over a year now. Outside of a few shitty streams during baseball season, which wasn't just me, I haven't missed anything. And I'm the kind of guy that will get pissed off for missing 1 second of a football game.

It was my biggest fear of cord cutting, and it has not been an issue at all.
