Clarkson can't come up with a name for his Top Gear spinoff

“Every morning, I’d make a £7,000 call to the lawyer with an idea, and every afternoon I’d get a £7,000 reply saying the name was already in use by someone in New Zealand or France or Ukraine. Prime Torque. Autonation. Skid Mark. Everything was a no-no.
quote:
“We need a name that isn’t in use by any business anywhere in the world and doesn’t even sound or look like any name that’s in use by any business anywhere in the world.
“And it can’t even be a minor play on the words Top or Gear. Oh, and it had to be a name that was liked by me, our producer, Hammond, Eeyore and a billionaire in Seattle.”

The more I read about him the more he sounds like a prima donna and a major pain in the arse to work with.

Sounds expensive.
What about "Clarkson's Show about Cars"?
ETA: I'll take my 14000 quid now thank you.

He totally is. That's 100% established fact. Like "grass is green" or "the sky is blue." That said, his show was consistently awesome for a long time. Credit has to be given to his co-stars as well, but remember, they chose to ditch BBC Top Gear and hitch their wagons to him, so:
A) They must be able to stand him and
B) They must realize that he's the secret sauce that made it work.

Clarkson is an arse, yes, but the guy is a great TV personality… and the chemistry with Hammond and Slow is probably as good as I've ever seen on a show.
He's also a rigid, against the grain, un-PC, self depricating bro. Thats very refreshing these days.
