Irwin was a great mention. I forgot about that.
Probably him. He was so likable, especially as a youth

Irwin. Being he did the show with family
Candy. A great guy on the set. Seemed to be genuine above all.

james gandolfini.... portrayed arguably the single greatest character in the history of tv AND film, and seemed like a really good dude in real life.

quote:Yep. Really saddened me. And Ledger. Felt like he was one of the best of his generation, just entering his prime. For some reason these 2 hit me a little harder than some others.

Michael Jackson, Sean Taylor, Robin Williams, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, John Ritter, Steve Irwin, Biggie Smalls, Phil Hartman, John Candy, Chris Farley, Stuart Scott, Ryan Dunn, Paul Walker, James Gandolfini, Peter Boyle, Brandon Lee, Heath Ledger and Marlon Brando are just the ones off the top of my head. And Wally Pontiff isn't considered a celebrity, but that ones gets me the worst.

If we count athletes, Steve McNair's was devastating to me

Only 1 for Paul Walker? No celebrity death has ever phased me except his. I was legit sad as frick when I heard that he died.
Outside of a couple F&F movies, I've never seen anything he was in. It just seemed like EVERYBODY who knew him thought the world of him.

Probably Johnny Cash.
Paul Walker: just seemed like such a good dude in real life. I've never seen anything negative written about him outside of critiques on his acting ability.
Robin Williams: Being only 28, I grew up with Robin's movies as a kid. He and Arnold made more ovirs I can remember as a kid than any other actors. Robin had such an incredible gift, I hate that we will never see him again.
Ronald Reagan hit me the hardest though, wasn't sure if he counted.

Mr. Rogers
I grew up watching him everyday. I remember exactly where I was when they announced his death on the radio. It wasn't shocking or anything, it was more like hearing about a death of someone you were friends with elementary school. Even though you hadn't seen them in thirty years you were sad to hear about it.

Of all those listed, Cobain and Ledger. Farley and Hartman get honorable mention.
May I add Patrice O'Neal, River Phoenix, Bernie Mac, and Marvin "we were all robbed of greatness" Gaye
