Castle will not have Beckett next year

Not sure how you have Castle without Beckett. The best parts of the show are their interactions. I guess we could see more of his daughter but I think this show was already on a decline, but it seems like it is now going over the cliff. Going to miss this show.

For real? What, was she demanding more money than Nathan or something? What's the use in continuing to watch a show, that was built around hers and Castle's characters, if she isn't going to be in it anymore?
I mean, it's not a show that I usually watch live or anything. But I do DVR and eventually will watch it. But I sure as hell won't even give it a second thought once she is gone.

I hope they don't kill off her character. That would be an insult to the fans of the show who have hung in this long. They should just end the series with her finally exposing the people behind her moms murder and moving on with her life with Castle.

Not from what I read. She was as shocked as everyone else. I guess they felt they could save some money and continue the story without her

According to this article, Fillion apparently was pretty rough on Stana during filming, to the point where she would end up in her dressing room crying. Apparently a lot of people on the set don't like him.

I don't see it lasting without her character. I DVR it and still enjoy it, but it's them together that makes it work.

I seriously don't get the love for that show. I tried like hell to watch it. Took me 3 different resets to finally finish the one season and was left unimpressed. In my opinion, the only genuinely good thing Fillion has ever been a part of was Slither.

My wife and I still watch Castle but are quite a few episodes behind. Based on the show and how well the two characters gel I always assumed they had a great relationship. Then my wife mentioned she heard they don't get along.
A quick google search confirmed that. It seems like the biggest issue came during a season in which the show started to shift more focus to the Beckett character. Apparently Fillion threw a fit and used the cliche, "The show is called Castle, not Beckett!" The producers caved quickly. Also reports that when one of them walked onto a stage, the other walked off. I also read speculation that Stana was going to leave the show regardless of the money.
That really surprised me. I always thought Fillion came across as a really cool person who just enjoyed being an actor. Now I think he is probably a fake a-hole. It also makes me not enjoy the show now that I know the actors hate each other.
I wouldn't be surprised if the show turns to some kind of Castle/daughter PI type of show going forward.
