Cap America - First Avenger Funny Observation

My wife cracks me up. She is not a comic book movie fan girl, but will watch them.

So in Captain America First Avenger when Steve is talking to Howard Stark about shields and notices the round one below and Howard tells him it is Vibranium....stronger than steel and 1/3 of the weight and Steve asks why it wasn't "standard issue"......Stark says, " That is the rarest metal on Earth, my friend. That there is all there is."

So my wife says....." the rarest metal on Earth and the first thing they think of is to make a shield out of it? "

Sorry...struck me as funny that I never thought of it that way.

Well it does have the characteristics that are perfect, and possibly best suited, for a shield.
