By What Episode Will I Know If I Love Breaking Bad?

Just started watching Breaking Bad and I'm in Season 2 on the episode where Jess steals back the motorhome from the junkyard and shows up at Walt's house for his share.
The show is ok so far, but all of my friends would tell me about how they couldn't stop watching and marathoned the entire series in a few weeks. I am definitely not at that point yet, so I'm wondering if it's a slow buildup and eventually it'll be where I won't want to stop watching.

It won't. Just power through it to say you did.
Bring on the downvotes.

Season 2, just not sure what episode
There's already another series on AMC that is a spinoff of a character that will be introduced in season 2

should alreayd know by now.
Just know that 3 is better than 2, 4 is an all-timer of a TV season ever, and 5 pretty much carries the momentum all the way through to the end. Also one of the best, if not the best, hours of television is in season 5.
So, you can skip all that if you want but I would recommend forging on.

End of the pilot for me too. Binge watched the series twice so far. Will again eventually.

All the way through for me it was just a good show. Never really ever crossed that threshold for me to be "loved" or even on my all time favorites. Maybe I was overhyped on it for years; idk. I liked it well enough though, don't get me wrong. I watched it front to back.

It gets better pretty much gradually every episode. By the time you meet a certain 2-3 characters in season 3, you will have to change your pants just about every episode son.

It's the greatest artistic achievement in human history--maybe greatest achievement of any type--and if you can't see that then just shoot yourself now. You're an idiot retard.

First few episodes for sure

You don't like it, which is ok. You just have bad taste in tv shows.

OK, so sounds like I will enjoy it more once I start hitting the latter episodes of Season 2 and on.
Its OK now and I'll throw on an episode if have nothing else to watch or do, but I'm not at that OMG, best show ever, point...yet.
To put in perspective, other shows I legit love are:
Friday Night Lights
House of Cards(Seasons 1 & 2)
The Newsroom
Shameless
Bates Motel
The Americans
Homeland (Season 1 & 2)
Deutschland '83
Ray Donovan

If it hasn't by now, it won't. It gets a bit better in 3 and 4, however, but it is generally not as good as people make it out to be. It's solid entertainment, but it is certainly not AS awesome as people make it out to be.

Truthfully, it's a well made show. Great acting, great writing. But the characters are unlikable and downright depressing. I liked it but didn't love it, and I never quite finished the series and probably never will.

I'll be in the minority and say the show isn't for you. For me, I knew in the first minute of the first episode that I was intrigued. If a middle aged dude driving through the desert with a gas mask and tighty whiteys doesn't get your attention...
Anyway, the pace of the show can seem slow at times, but if you're not into it by the time Walt meets Tuco for the first time, this show just isn't for you.

It's good the first 2 seasons. It becomes incredible television the last 3 seasons. Really about halfway through season 2 some characters come into the world that transform the series. I'll randomly watch seasons 3, 4, or 5 occasionally just because they are so damn suspenseful and tense. You really become invested in the characters as the series goes.

It gets good when you meet a crazy mexican, a shady lawyer, an old hitman, and a wanna be popeye's owner.

Common problem I hear a lot about shows that are considered the "greatest", "can't miss", etc and people sit down and binge watch. They get so built up by people who have already seen it that you go in expecting something so far out of reach you feel a little let down.
If your friends had never told you much about it and you just stumbled upon it, I bet you would feel differently about the show.

It really took off for me when they introduced Tuco.. it does get better but if you thinking its just "OK" at this point it just may not be for you.
