Just finished the season four finale, initial thoughts:

-At this point I don't root for Walt. Honestly he's a bitch. His paranoia and diva complex screwed up a good thing with Gus.

-Walt isn't likable at all, and I see that as a problem. Even though Tony Soprano and Don Draper are horrible people, we at least wanted them to succeed for most of the show, I find myself hating Walt.

-Holy shite the scene with Gus and Uncle Salamanca was intense

-This show isn't very deep. I enjoy it, and it's addictive but it's too wam pow for me to consider it "great".

-I was rooting for Gus the whole time, damn that is a cold and calculating son of a bitch

I always liked Walt. Never thought he was that bad.

It's awesome, albeit ridiculous that Gus walks out of that with literally half his head/face gone. But I guess that was for the shock factor.

Interested to see what you think about S5.

SPOILERS

My biggest issue with the show. And that's not limited to Walt. It's there are no likable characters outside of Gus, who they kill anyway.

Skyler might be the worst character in premium TV history. Her story line with that weasel Bennake was cringe worthy.

Walt is insecure and petulant but also a genius... making him dangerous to just about anyone he comes in contact with. Definitely not "likeable."

Of the main characters, Hank, Gomey, and Jesse are about the only good souls in the series. One could argue Gus, perhaps the most complicated character.

I agree with this. Many times I wanted to put a bullet in Walt and Jesse

I really liked Hank. Yeah, he was a bit of a typical meat-head cop, but he was a good dude.

You're right, Hank isn't bad. I nearly shite myself during minute long period between the call and that cartel shootout.

Before I watched the series on Netflix, all I knew was the Heisenberg name and saw the hat and sunglasses pic. To be honest, I thought Gus was more Heisenberg than Walt. Walt was one of those guys that thinks he is smarter than everyone else, but really is not. I think the acting in this was top notch, the stories were not so much. For as smart as he was suppose to be, Walt would have never gotten into some of the situations that he did.

I liked Walt off and on, better than the rest of the character. Both wives were abysmal, Hank is a pussy in the grand scheme of things (why he didn't want to go to El Paso). Never could see how Jessie Pinkman aka Cap'n Cook was on the DEA's radar in the first place because Jessie is a retarded methhead. The show isn't deep and I wasn't addicted to it. I didn't think the show lived up to it's hype, (not trolling, just my honest opinion).

In my opinion, I pretty much loved and hated each of the Characters at some point in the show

Except for Marie. I hated her from th beginning
