Does anyone remember when these movie's came out all the riot's that broke out? That had like 6 or 7 major shootings and gang fights when that movie was in the theater.

growing up this movie was the shite for me. good soundtrack, actors, etc. menace 2 society was more hardcore though.

Anyone always wonder why Grady from Sanford and Son came out of nowhere in this movie?
Anyway, it's a pretty solid movie and was better than Menace II Society, IMO. Menace just had some god-awful acting in it and the storyline was fairly obvious. Boyz was a bit more representative of Compton and the acting was just a lot better. Still, it's far from a masterpiece.
