Blade film series

So I'm watching Blade II on IFC right now, and I can't feel like this series never got the credit it really deserved. Most people know who Wesley Snipes is, but out of the famous action stars of the last 20-30 years I'd say he is the least know. I really enjoy the darkness and underground feel of the whole series. Plus I do like vampires if pulled of right as in Let Me In.

Somewhere a movie exec read this and just greenlit a reboot of the series

haha, I'd be all for it.

I thought Blade 1 and 2 were entertaining. Never saw 3.

I thought 3 was still pretty good. But if you've seen 1 and 2 I would for sure check out 3.

That's surprising, Blade 2 is actually my favorite.

That movie exec would have to be Kevin Feige since Marvel has the rights to Blade back.

3rd movie just killed the series and Snipes being in jail prevented a quick reboot. The TV series was surprisingly good as cheap as it was being on Spike and all.

Blade was awesome.
Techno ninja vampires FTW
Snipes was made for this role. You can put him in the dark, and he can't be seen, if he has sunglasses on, and doesn't smile. He also knows karate.

Part one - Vampire Blood God
PART two - rabid super vampires with a vampire king father
Part three - Dracula and Deadpool.

I think the Blade series was really well done, but they've lost a little luster over time. I watched the 2nd one recently, and Blade's over-exaggerated dance moves when he pulls out a weapon made me roll my eyes.

Blade 3 was when I started thinking Ryan Reynolds would make a great Deadpool.

I think it was one of the first comic movies done well. It definitely needs a polishing but there is potential.

Fox owns the rights to Deadpool...won't happen.
The best way for Marvel to introduce Blade would be through a Midnight Sons series on Netflix.

LOL> He was recapping the plot lines from the first 3 movies. In 3 Ryan Reynolds plays a sword wielding vampire fighter. Its forshadowing of him playing Deadpool 15 years later of course...

I hope we see blade in Daredevil

There were plans to do a spinoff movie with Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel but Blade 3 wasn't a big enough success so they never made it. I think that could have been good.

Same. Two was campy but didn't recognize it. Three embraced the campiness and was better for it. Plus Ryan Reynolds was hilarious.
