Better Peaky Blinders character/acting job: Thomas Shelby or Alfie Solomons?

Cillian Murphy is completely masterful as Shelby but, holy shite, Tom Hardy steals the show every time Solomons shows up on screen

One guy is carrying a lot of the show(Murphy) but yea, Alfie Solomons freaks me out.

There's no way Alfie could be a regular character. He's just too intense.
It's hard to say which is better because they're built for different reasons. Thomas carries the show, and Alfie inserts a jolt.

Tommy. It's easier to be the big gun when your scenes are always meant to have you be the big guy until this season, when Murphy and Hardy feed off each other after Tommy's got one over on Alfie

sounds like Bane sometimes, kinda funny to hear the dialogue

anyone know how many more seasons we are going to get out of the show? Also is there a reason besides busy schedules that held this season to 6 episodes?

I know that they just green lighted it for seasons 4 and 5

Dunno but every season is only 6 episodes.

I think they intend to produce about 10 seasons, with the final season ending on the eve of WWII.

Damn really? I know the 4 and 5 seasons are already official but I didn't think there'd be 10.

British television series typically have a lot less episodes than American series. The 6 episodes per season is standard over there. Actors tend to take on a lot more projects and jump around more. They don't take a single series as a full time gig.

Gives it more of a mini series feel too which is probably why they're able to get actors like the ones mentioned in the OP

Spot on. Tom Hardy is becoming one of my favorite actors. Always seems to play someone that gets my blood boiling, but he does such a damn good job.

Jump on the band wagon. He has been my favorite actor for a few years now. I watched episode 5 of season 3 last night and he sounded a lot like Bane But his interaction with Arthur was brilliant.

Seeing them both in Peaky Blinders makes me more and more excited for Dunkirk
