Movie with Jack Black. I liked it alot.

Thought it was pretty funny, but better than that, it was a interesting story.

thoughts? Others think it was really good?

I enjoyed it. Thought it was one of JB's best if not the best acting performance I've seen from him. Definitely one of the most complex character's he's taken on. Great story and a great dark comedy without going over the top with the humor.

Really enjoyed it. Liked the use of the locals, thought that made the movie feel like the real story it is. Also, like that they didn't come across as idiotic Southerners, just good, small town folk.

Really liked Ebert's review of it, he noted how great Jack Black is in the role.

I watched the movie with some of my Dallas friends, (I'm from La) and they loved when that one guy broke Texas down by regions.

"The People's Republic of Austin" was repeated for the rest of the weekend.

Jack Black was born to play that character. He killed it. Good movie, crazy story.
