It seems they've taken all the bad ideas Entourage eased into over time including way, way too many celebrity cameos for no reason only Ballers does it with athletes… not actors, who can't actually you know, act.

I like The Rock. I like the sidekick dude. I even think the a-hole leecher homeboy is a great character. But I don't want to see the Jay Glazer show, which it has clearly become.

It's cringeworthy how uncomfortable some of these football players look while acting.

You just have to enjoy it for what it is or change the channel.

Yeah, I get having cameos but if they can't act, for the love of god don't use them.

No kidding. That show was brilliant. In all honesty, it might have been too smart for people.

That had more to do with scheduling issues with the stars involved than anything else.

Ballers really hit its stride the last few episodes of the season. This first episode was boring and dull as shite, though. Vice Principles was gold, Jerry, gold.

Ballers is what it is.

Its mindless entertainment like Entourage with a bunch of celebrity guests.

I, for one, got all excited to see Jarvis Landry on there.

I liked the first season. Yes there are some mindless parts, but given how many idiots are in the league, I just assume half the story lines are actual events that went down.

They have a lot of athlete "consultants" for the scripts. Heck, Saints LB Danell Ellerbe was one for Season 1 from his time with the Dolphins.
