Anyone watching this season? So far it's been very cheesy, on purpose. Dunno if I can take this remotely seriously at all.

I don't think it's meant to be taken seriously at all.

Nobody of verifiable intelligence really believes that they're all there to find their one true love.

This.

If you actually take Bachelor in Paradise seriously you are prolly one of those people that thinks wrestling isn't staged. Or that actually believes the chain mail email your 80 year old aunt sent you warning you of the dangers of gangs flashing their lights at you to kill you.

It's supposed to be cheesy, over the top drama. Just enjoy it for what it is. A guilty pleasure to watch other make fools of themselves on national television.

Btw...I love the show and even I'm not dumb enough to think those people go on BiP to "find love". It's a paid vacation. Each person gets like 15k to be on the show.

I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Wish I would've submitted an audition tape when I was younger.

I like Chad but the comment to the one armed chick was way out of line. Dude just got way too drunk on the first day. This show is way better than the actual Bachelor/Bachelorette show.

Definitely better than the bachelor / bachelorette. Yeah Chad needs a good arse whipping.

What was he saying about the host drinking mimosas at a bar a thousand miles away?
I couldn't quite make it out.

"I'm hung over but still shredded"

"You were drinking a mimosa in a robe last night"

I love The Chad!

But seriously, I don't understand how one of the other guys didn't man up after the comment on the one armed girl. I would have had a real hard time not going after him after that.

I might tune in just for Chad. He's probably the best reality TV "character" ever.

Chad makes his money by traveling around to psych classes to demonstrate pure id in practice.

It's all scripted. They are paying chad probably 20k to get trashed and talk shite to everyone on the show. They then pay all the other folks to not respond. They're all under contract to do/not do certain things.

Last night, you see the act when they "kick him off the show", then you see the previews that he is magically back and causing trouble at the house... It's all a script. This shite is basically WWE.

He made several comments about Sarah.

Called her "the one-armed bitch" and "arm-y McArm-erson".

I know it makes for good tv and all...but hopefully they just let him back to the house like they did on the bachelorette when he was kicked off. He goes there real quick, rages....and then finally goes home. But...if the girls were smart...they would let him stay until at least after the first rose ceremony. If he leaves...that is one less girl that gets to stay right off the bat. Let him stay...give out a rose....and then next week no girl gives him a rose.

Mrs. Vox roped me into watching The Bachelorette when Aaron Murray's brother Josh was on it a few years ago. The only redeeming thing about the regular series is getting to know the Dramatis Personae for the Paradise seasons.

Watching UNReal has shed much light on what likely goes on behind the scenes at The Bachelor.

It's a scripted show on Lifetime that was based on a behind-the-scenes expose from a former producer on The Bachelor. It's brutal and you can't turn away. Season 2 wraps next week.
