Gabe Rygaard, known as the owner of the company Rygaard Logging featured frequently on the History reality series "Ax Men," was killed Friday in an automobile collision. He was 45.

The accident, which occurred near Port Angeles, Washington, Rygaard’s hometown, when the white Ford Bronco Rygaard was driving rear-ended another vehicle before ending up in the path of an oncoming vehicle. Passengers in the other two cars involved in the crash were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Rygaard first appeared in the second season of "Ax Men," having recently taken over Rygaard Logging after the death of his father, who founded the company in 1992. The company was frequently featured on the show, including during the recently-completed ninth season.

Wait a minute:

Rygaard’s father, Craig, confirmed this afternoon that his son, a Port Angeles native and a 1989 Port Angeles High School graduate, died in the crash. He was 45.

Maybe a step father? That is confusing. His dad was the owner of the company and died.

I can't find anything else that says that Craig is dead.

I don't think the Dad is dead. I thought for sure this was going to be a heart attack as wound up as that guy used to get on that show. RIP

Craig Rygaard, Gabe's Dad, is still alive.

I believe you're thinking of Jimmy Smith, from S&S logging, who died a few seasons ago. He and his son were river loggers.

I was talking about the quote in the op:

RIP Gabe! The show for sure won't be the same without him.

I never saw them do a tribute to Jimmy Smith when he passed of cancer. Maybe I missed it but I am pretty sure I haven't missed one show.
