I'll be there opening weekend, and more importantly at an Alamo.
But not fair.

I did not think the original Avengers deserved the praise it received. I understand that it's incredibly difficult to provide meaningful character development for the whole cast, but next to nothing happened in the Avengers before the battle of New York, and the cheesy dialogue was bad.

The Avengers was solid popcorn entertainment. But that was about it. It didn't take any risks. It did kill off a fan favorite, though not very important character, only to see him brought back to life in a television show.
I gave the film a grade of B+ when it came out in theaters and that's the grade I still give it today. Iron Man and Captain America: The Winter Soldier are easily superior to it.

The Winter Soldier is a better movie hands down, IMO. The Avengers was great for it's setting and it was fun to watch. I just hope that AoU is not more of the same with a more mature feel. I don't think it will fit the setting that has been established.
ETA: I like a more gritty story personally, but too much of a mix will be off putting.

Just noticed there is already a cam out in the wild. That was quick, may break down and watch it tonight depending on how shitty it is...

Watched the cam version, sound was screwed up about half way through, I had to edit it to line it back up, other than that it was in a barely watchable quality.
It was pretty much what I expected it to be, decent popcorn film. Not anything I would rave about or consider a must see, just a fun movie. After the first crappy viewing of it, I think I like the plot better than the Transformers plot line of the first Avengers movie. The rest of the aspects of the movie were about the same as the first for me. I don't know if I will actually go see it in the theaters now though, may just wait for a better quality home version before I watch it again.

I thought it was pretty good.
I"m sure it'll be a fun popcorn flick and make tons of cash. I just love teasing the fanboys who act as if these Marvel films are nothing but masterpieces.
BTW have you seen that new joker pic going around?

Yea. It looks good. Some are saying the tattoo version was a joke and all of these contradicting images are being released in order to get feedback or troll. I guess we'll see.
Posted on 4/25/15 at 5:41 pm to abellsujr
that's what I was thinking. That would be pretty brilliant if they trolled everyone I said from the get go that there's no way he has that damaged tattoo in the finished film.

Too many 'main' characters in this one IMO. Feels rushed at times.

I think the average score it has of 7.3 is fair.

this is troubling but still not released and there are going to be hundreds of reviews coming in a few days.

Wow. It's dropping fast. 75%. I have to say I'm surprised.
Posted on 4/28/15 at 11:34 am to abellsujr
I'm not. It was going to be popular to hate it on it.
