I think we've talked about it before on here somewhere, but I want to watch the frick out of that movie.
What is the info in terms of release? Is it out already? Straight to DVD? Straight to internet? All a quick google search tells me is that at one point, you could watch it free on your Xbox (not sure if you still can or whatever).

I'd like to know this too. It appears to be an Xbox produced film. I hope its not only on XBox

so are the filmmakers the ones who put those unearthed games on ebay and made a RIDICULOUS amount of money on them? the ET games went for 37k and they had multiple copies for sale.

the whole digging in the desert part doesn't appeal to me at all…the actual story of the company's ruin is far more intriguing.

Yeah, I expect that that the main plot of the film will be Atari's demise, but that is surrounded in lore by the ET game's failure.
If the majority of it is focused on simply the dig/site, then I am gonna be disappointed.

Go watch Video Games: The Movie. They talk about it a lot, and how it almost killed the industry as a whole. It is on Netflix.

I remember getting this game for christmas and trying to play it as a little kid. it made absolutely no sense and was a complete piece of trash. I remember my mom and dad trying to play it to help us out and It think my dad may have lit it on fire it was such a POS

I want to see this. I was a kid when Atari was popular. The ET game was easily the worst Atari game I can remember. I bought it in the $5 bargain bin back in the mid-80's. I probably still have it in a box at my parents' house now that I think about it.
