I'll go with AP but I'm also a big Phil Collins fan. I thought he was great in the magician movie as well the name of it slips my mind at the moment.

I've probably seen it the most. Not sure it is his best acting gig to date but it is my favorite movie with Bale.

I agree that Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost.

I'll put the machinist as his most underrated. He sacrificed for that role. Very depressing movie but a must watch if you are a fan of his.

I agree American Psycho is the best as I like dark humor.

AP, The Fighter, or Rescue Dawn are some of his best acting jobs.

IMO, he's one of the best actors out there right now. He needs to do SNL or some kind of comedy to help his image/brand....though those things probably aren't his thing and he probably doesn't care about his image.

Great actor. Definitely one of my favorites.

How I would rank a few of his movies:

1. The Machinist
2. American Psycho
3. 3:10 to Yuma
4. Batman Begins
5. Dark knight
6. Terminator Salvation
7. DKR
8. Fighter
9. Reign of Fire
10. The Prestige
11. Equilibrium
12. Newsies

4-8 are roughly interchangeable.

Also I havent viewed American Hustle yet.
