I expect he'll be back in some capacity this season but it wont be as a regular. He's got a new gig on that Chronicles of Shannara tv show now.

As for the new suit I love it, an upgrade in almost every way. The only thing I personally would get rid of are the little shoulder flaps, then it would look pretty much like the comics.

The one in your picture is not the same one he is wearing at Comic Con.

Look at them both, especially in the stomach area.

edit: It is the same, just looks a lot different in that lighting. Was very undefined.

I am cautiously optimistic about the new season. I think they never really got Ra's Al Ghul right and along with some other decisions it drug the whole season down.

They need to get Felicity back to the character people loved; when you compare the Felicity on Flash to last season on Arrow it was night and day. Hell, after her last appearance on the Flash I was disappointed she wasn't becoming a regular there.

I wanted this season to mostly be him and the team actually kicking arse and succeeding as superheroes instead of getting their tails kicked and letting half the city get blown up. He and his team has had enough time to grow, and now it appears he'll be taking on the full Green Arrow name. So it's time for them to be acting like a well oiled machine this season. But it looks like the season will start out with Oliver in retirement, but I'm guessing Thea, Laurel, and Diggle will still be protecting the city. But the team still needs to be working now like a well oiled machine this season.

And I'm excited to see what they do with Anarky

Good news, we get an actual evil villain this season, show runner Wendy Mericle describes Darhk

quote:

Unlike the villains of seasons past, “Damien doesn’t have any code. He’s just pure evil,” Mericle said.

One of my biggest gripes with season 3 was how long it took to get to the actual Ras' stuff, this season their hitting the ground running with Darhk being prominent in the early part of the season.

Something big happens at the end of the premier, my guess is Sara is resurrected to set up her Legends of Tomorrow role.

Just a random thought.

DC Movie "Universe" and TV "Universe" are separate.

What if they have been planning to connect them this entire time through the Multi-Verse on Flash?

the tone of last season was all over the place. im hoping they have a solid plan and just tell a great story. if olicity makes this easier for them to do, then i guess i can live with it.

im excited about the "pure evil" villain news. this is something we havent seen before. all the main villains had a very strong motive. ready for some pure mayhem and carnage.

I disagree. I think they did a great job with him. In the Batman mythos, he wants Bruce to marry Talia Al Ghul and become a leader of the LoA with him. Insert Oliver for Bruce and Nyssa for Talia, then you have the same scenario. I didn't like the "I am looking for my heir so I can die" aspect in terms of comic continuity, but I did think it was an interesting idea.

As for S3 sucking, I would not go that far. I thought overall it was still good. They just need to get away from the constant setups and rug pulls. It became laughable that Oliver went from bad to good to bad to good, all under some ridiculous ruse that never made sense.

The biggest problem plaguing this show, which is the same problem that plagues most other shows and soon Flash, is the 24 ep run. That's just too much time to tell a story, which results in dragging out plots and creating boring and ridiculous concepts. Walking Dead has fallen victim to this, and that show has become a complete yawn.

I wouldnt be suprised if at some point DC is like "yea all our shows/movies are part of one big multiverse" but I doubt we ever see any on screen interaction between the movies and the arrowverse.

Im talking about a multiverse that encompasses all of DC's television and films. Theres 40 some odd universes in the comic universe, what if DC made it so that Smallville happened on Earth-12 and The New Adventures of Lois and Clark was Earth-4 and so on.

Season 3 became more like a soap opera.

I liked the cross over episodes on arrow and flash.

Took away deadshot, but giving us more deathstroke.

That is a trade I can make.

Forgot to address this. I think he will be on more than you think. Shannara is only 10 episodes and they film from January through the early summer ish I think. They start shooting Arrow any day now don't they? With Shannara being so short, and also not having a huge shooting overlap. Manu could potentially do a 2-5 episode story arc. I mean, he has the time to do 10 or more. Anything longer than 1 episode would be tremendous. Would love to see Deathstroke on the Suicide Squad having to work with Oliver against Darhk, or any villain really.

I hope your right, Deathstroke was affiliated with HIVE in the comics.
