Are women liking True Grit?

Trying to convince my wife and mother to see it instead of The Tourist. You think they'll like Grit better than Tourist?

I have never seen tourist so I can't compare but I saw True Grit with my husband and liked it. I was hesitant at first because it was a western (and a remake of the old one at that) but after reading descriptions of the movie on here and realizing it had comedy in it as well I decided to surprise him with tickets.

My fiance liked it. We both thought it was kind of over rated based on the reviews we read about it though...

My girlfriend liked it, didn't love it. But the week before that I had to go see Little Fockers. If I have to see movies I know I'll dislike the least she can do is see movies I want to every now and then.

I'm not a big fan of westerns, but I love the Coens, so I didn't know how I'd like the movie. But I loved it. I'd like to go see it again.

Out of all the girls I consider friends, I can think of two or three that would like True Grit. I don;t know anything about The Tourist, but I'm betting that's the more "fun" movie that most chicks would dig.
