Are there any "appointment viewing" shows left on ABC/NBC/CBS/Fox?

I still watch some shows on the networks, but I can't think of any one I can't do without. The last ones were maybe "Community" or "The Office" or "Parks and Recreation" at their peaks. Even "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy" I can do without at this point in their life.

However, almost every show I watch on FX right now I can't miss. Same for AMC. Used to be that way on USA with "Burn Notice" and "Suits." I know a ton of you watch HBO religiously but I don't have it. I'm just getting into the Netflix and Amazon series and they're pretty good too.

So can anyone name ONE network show that they can't do without?

I mean, I don't usually watch them live because of work and other stuff, but I watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine and New Girl on FOX every week. Best comedies on TV right now, IMO.

I like Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

My issue with ALL of the Fox Sunday Night lineup is that Fox can't be consistent with it. They can't run 2 original episodes in a row because it's always being pre-empted for sports, they're going up against some awards show so they air a rerun, or they use the spot to premiere some new show that they then move to Wednesday.

Is Brooklyn nine nine on TV right now? Or are they still on break before season 3?

I DVR Backstrom. Still trying to make up my mind on it. Otherwise, nope, it all ended with final season of Parks.

I watch every episode of "Modern Family" and I enjoy it most of the time but God Damn that show is overrated. Sometimes it just seems like a multicultral, gay/straight episode of Three's Company.

I kinda like "Chicago P.D." but when you compare it to something like "Southland" after TNT picked it up it just doesn't seem as authentic anymore.

I've tuned into just about every episode of Last Man on Earth as it aired, mainly because I want Fox to think it's doing well so that it gets renewed.

Other than that, The Office was the last network show I made sure to not miss.

Well that's good. I was afraid they were done until the fall.

Those mid season breaks are so stupid though

The style seems more suited for FX, but it's somehow on network TV.

Weird Loners has promise. And the Blacklist is pretty good.

But, I never miss an episode of Dateline NBC even without Chris Hansen.

The five shows on network TV I like the most:

1. The Big Bang Theory (I know a lot of people HATE it)
2. Brooklyn Nine-Nine
3. Chicago P.D.
4. The Simpsons (I watch my favorite shows to the bitter end)
5. Family Guy

Honorable Mention: Modern Family, The Good Wife (yes, The Good Wife)

And no, my life would not end if I missed them or the DVR screwed up.

Shows I would not miss under any circumstances:

1. Justified (until Tuesday)
2. Mad Men
3. Louie
4. Fargo
5. Suits or Longmire (A&E--moved to Netflix for season 4)

Like I said, I don't have HBO, and I wait to binge-watch shows if I didn't watch from season one.

It used to be Warehouse 13. Now it's probably Big Bang Theory.

I don't really have one. These are more family choices.

I haven't watched more than 10 minutes of a first run network show in a couple of years, most likely. Even stuff people say is good, like Blacklist, I just couldn't get into. Tried watching on netflix but got bored within a few minutes, just too absurd I guess.

I know there are probably decent shows, but with the competition from Netflix/Amazon/premiums and good cable networks, I just can't keep my attention on them.
