I haven't watched last week's or last night's yet. But the first two episodes this season have been pretty bad. I watched E2 yesterday, and barely was able to get through it. It's not only so boring, and the characters so unlikable, but it's just weird. E1 had this pretty huge buildup to them being chased/seen on radar by some bad guys who fricked that one boat up, and then E2 picks up and basically never mentions that storyline at all and now they have all kinds of time to dick around at this family's place and even spend the night.
The show is just weird at this point. I will try to keep watching, but it is becoming a chore though.

I liked last night's episode.
Yeah he was gay, but now we see what his plans where after the zombie outbreak. He was just trying to get back to his boyfriend. Saying whatever it took.
I like how the older son is using zombie camouflage for getting around. I can see him later in the show moving through hordes.

***Read after you watch***
It's so poorly written. Guy on a speed boat, on the ocean's choppy waters, sniper shots someone between the eyes from 200 yards out.
Another person, just floating in the ocean.....for over 12 hours in an unknown direction....they just happened to bee line right to him.
Pirates on an inflatable raft, just happen to float to exactly who they were targeting for a week? Then have to radio for back-up to show? (were they set afloat close? and if so, did the boat leave them, move hours away, then wait for radio contact?)
I can't fathom how these stories are written by the same type of people, do they not question WTF they are writing?

It's actually gotten better. The past two weeks have been ok.

Yesterday I watched episode 1 of this season in an effort to catch up. After watching it, I deleted the remaining episodes and cancelled the future recordings. The whole let's go for a swim scene was the final straw. Swimming zombies, crackhead not being able to swim around a zombie and instead taking cover in an overturned boat, grabbing the ship's log, meeting a zombie in there who attacks and then stops for no reason at all, etc. Awful awful stuff

It's like they assume people will watch because of TWD's built up loyalty, so they don't even bother to give a frick about putting together a coherent or interesting story.
In a way, it almost feels like each episode is its own standalone storyline instead of being connected within a season.

Yep. And the season premier everyone was absolutely stupid except for the black guy. Who according to the spanish guy had "other motives". Glad to read they were to find his gay lover. In a situation like that how many motives can you have other than stay alive and find loved ones? But let's be suspicious of him because reasons.

I quit after the first episode of season 2 and haven't looked back.

I'm having trouble not getting constantly frustrated by the survival aspects of the zombie shows, eg, people not "getting it" as far as what to do/not to do, making stupid decisions, and Fear is 10x worse than TWD because of the context of the show. Like the constant "let's pick up more people" thing and refusal to comprehend that there isn't the supplies to support more people. As far as FTWD, The black dude is only one that gets it and the others are constantly doubting or trying to usurp him.
I guess the problem is the drama of the shows seems reliant on that same crisis issue, so I don't think it can get any better in that regard.

This week's episode was their best episode so far.
But yeah, if you're a racist homophobe, stick to FOX News.

Definitely getting better, keeping with it.

The premiere this season was a giant turd, but the following three episodes have been good. Last night's was really good.

I kinda feel like it's my fault for expecting too much. I'm usually good at suspending disbelief with movies and tv, but with the latter it's the constant barrage of stupidity that makes it almost unbearable.

Last two weeks has been pretty good. Especially last night.
Game of Thrones being back has hindered pretty much any talk about this show.

I'm not too critical of shows like that. I mean, it's about zombies. But the "constant barrage of stupidity" is too much.
"Long dark hallway in this unbelievably secure prison? Instead of methodically clearing it out, let's rush through it and hope we don't get bit."
ETA: First season of TWD was awesome, though.

I've done pretty well treating it like a standalone. I have struggled with the first episodes, but last night was at least up to mindless entertainment. I like Stannis Baratheon's son in the show. He just fits the whole ZA world.
