I read that this is the way to see it. Either seeing that or Star Wars a second time tonight.

Saw it last night. It was great, no previews and the movie started right on time. I recommend going to see it as the road show in 70 mm.

Yes they had an intermission and the only place in LA that was doing the 70mm roadshow is Elmwood theatre in Harrahan off Clearview.

Starts with an Overture, there's an Intermission, and the film is broken up into five chapters.

It's amazing. It's Reservoir Dogs crossed with The Thing cross with Once Upon a Time in the West, all put through a grindhouse filter.

If you like Tarantino movies and you want to see a movie in a different way, I highly recommend going to the 70mm roadshow. The movie was awesome.

Yup. Haven't read it though. The movie started pretty much right after they opened up the seating at our theater. no time for dilly dally.

The roadshow was a great idea. The Hateful Eight actually made more money than Star Wars this weekend on a per screen basis. Now, it only showed on 100 screens, so it didn't crack the top 10 in total gross, but it made $45,366/screen while Star Wars made $37,136.

The roadshow had its intended effect on ticket sales.
