Pull up the YouTube clip "Fred goes to court". My dad loved that one.

Fred Sanford: Listen, why don't you arrest some white drivers?
Cop: I do.
Fred Sanford: You do? Well, where are they? Look at all these ****s in here! Look around here! There's enough ****s in here to make a Tarzan movie!

The reaction from the courtroom audience is great.

One of my all-time favorites.

Bought the complete series a few years ago off of Amazon. Was cool to watch the episodes in their regular order.

Grew up watching the reruns. Loved that show for most of the reasons already mentioned. Also, loved the crap he gave Rollo all the time and the white cop that would try and be cool but would mess up the lingo.

Anyone remember Redd Foxx's "Lil Redd Wrecker" designed and built by George Barris Kustom cars?

I used to watch it on channel 11 New Orleans on Sunday nights. It came on right before G.L.O.W.

The best episode was the one where Lamont accidentally made a salad out of a pot plant and fed it to the cops.

Everyone has their favorite. My personal favorite is "The Three Degrees".

Love the show but his stand up comedy was great also.

Aunt Esther did stand up too.

I just watched a bit of when Lamont went African. Does the "my friend Kalunda" schtick come from this?

This whole courtroom scene from beginning to end was maybe the funniest 10 minutes in the history of TV.
