Anybody here watch Rake? The original Australian version

I just started it on Netflix. Great show, with talented actors and great writing. Y'all should check it out if you haven't.

Might check out the new US version to see if it matches up well with the original.

I've seen the new version a few times. Kinnear is good and the show has potential, it would've been better on cable. I might check out the original.

Yeah I figured that. Luckily the Australian show should be on for a couple more years

I tried to watch the US series, but I deleted it from my Tivo. Just couldn't take it. I had high hopes for it with Kinear in it, but he can't save a lousy show.

Directv has aired it on the Audience Network and thought it was pretty good. I really liked the Australian series Underbelly.
