For a lot of people it's the fantasy of being able to go around killing people any way possible without the guilt of killing another human. Yeah it would be scary, but of the situation was controlled (have a nice set up without hoards coming at a time) it would be cool.

I can see how people would like that aspect of it. I have a new AR15 I've yet to shoot so....
