I tivo'd it tonight, will check it tomorrow or this weekend. Looks interesting. And I saw that blond girl from the movie Waiting is in it, she's fine as hell. Kaitlyn Doubleday.

It's like a black telenovela or a throwback to the Dallas, Dynasty shows of the 80's. With Lee Daniels being associated I expected something along the lines of The Wire. Has already been renewed for a second season

Empire might be my favorite drama of all time now. It is quickly rising up the charts. Very good story line with really good actors/actresses. Plus the music in it is pretty dope.

I can't stand Terrence Howard, so I'll pass on it. Probably missing quality television, but I just don't care.

I had kinda wanted to watch it, thought it might be decent because of the cast. But I saw an episode over the weekend and thought it was just turrible -- like a crappy nighttime soap opera. I'm a 43 year old white guy, but it seemed like they didn't even get big-time hip hop culture. (For example, Entourage was a douchebag show, but I felt like they got big-time Hollywood culture)
