Ken Burns The Civil War

It is the greatest civil war doc ever made. Nothing else comes close.

Ken Burns Civil War is on Netflix

Just finished it a couple weeks ago. I'm going to watch again soon. Fascinating. Shelby Foote's stories are great.

Baseball doc has some good stuff if you're into early baseball history. Though by that point in his career there are some standard Burns-isms, like slow banjo music playing while the camera focuses on still shots.

I thought this one was very entertaining but also made you feel what it must've been like for people on both sides of the fight

It gives a pretty good look at the Civil War war machine as well

He could make one on paint drying and it would be better than most documentaries out there

Civil War
Baseball
The West
The War (WW2)
Prohibition
The Roosevelts
The Dust Bowl

Jazz will be the next one I start on

There is one on the AHC-American History Channel that repeats itself about every two months. It very good. About 4 or 5 parts. There is an older one that repeats less often but often. It's also good. Look for it.

Sorry, that's like asking if there are any good movies about a great white shark.

Warning:
The "10th Inning" episode was produced 16 years after the initial series. Binge watching them all now, it can be quite jarring to see the interviewees suddenly age two decades.
