frick that. After that awful six episode run and that horrible finale. Like someone said on another board -- the first episode needs to be Chris Carter sitting at a desk, apologizing for a solid hour.

It seemed pretty inevitable after the ending of the last mini-season.

If the ending was worse than the first episode then they should let this thing die.

I was a huge X-Files fan. Even liked the late seasons but I had no interest in continuing after episode 1.

Horse shite. Episode 1 felt forced. Everything after that was vintage Carter.
Would love to see another season.

I was excited for the revival but came to realize that as with most of these shows they've been reviving 10+ years later for nostalgic reasons, it's just hard to recapture the same magic.

Yep, that was vintage X Files at its very best. Rhys Darby was awesome.

It started weak and ended weak but in the middle was the old magic of X-Files. I'll take another season, especially if they can open and close better.

Fair enough.

I don't care if we get a clunker or two as long as the majority of the episodes are as good as the better episodes of that last mini-season.

The original series suffered from the same problem of great monster episodes bookended by weak conspiracy episodes.

It's X-Files. It is what it is.
