You're in a minority and a very harsh critic.

Everybody loved the first avengers and it was frequently described as a fun ride and pure comic book goodness.

Especially this part....

I just listed a bunch that I liked

With the exception of spiderman 2 and xmen, those movies really don't pop to the front of the mind of the average movie goer.

Listing the best comic book movies woukd look like this in no interchangeable order...

Original Superman
Original spiderman
Original xmen
Marvel movies like iron man, winter soldier, thor dark world, avengers 1 and 2, and Guardians of the galaxy.
The Dark Knight Triology

Hell boy and animated movies are an afterthought.

Well the average moviegoer is a retard, so that doesn't mean much. Average moviegoers like Transformers as evidenced by the box office numbers; doesn't mean it's not shite The hellboys are far better than most, if not all, recent comic movies.

People love to give comic book movies a pass for recycling tropes and being formualic just because they're comic book movies. I don't do that. If a movie sucks, it sucks. A lot comic book movies are vapid and poorly written CGI shitfests like Transformers, but they're apparently beyond reproach because of nostalgic superhero protagonists.

Just finished. Pretty fun movie. Really liked winter soldier and I'm glad they didn't ruin him.

Robert Redford really mailed it in, though. He was awful

kind of like Sam Raimi for you

Hellboy - a favorite
Kickass - good change of pace
Spiderman 2 - the "rain drops keep falling on my head" scene single handedly destroyed an otherwise average film.
X-men 2 - set the bar really low back in the day.

There's no mystery to the Winter Soldier. His name is Bucky Barnes. He was Cap's best friend in the first film before he fell off a train in the mountains. They assumed he was dead. He wasn't.

He will probably take over for Cap when he dies.

It was literally one of worst superhero movies I've ever seen. I know I'm in minority but I like the original Spider-Man with the goofy guy. Can't think of his name

What's sad is I think Garfield is a pretty decent Peter Parker. His portrayal is much closer to the comic book version of Peter. I even didn't so much mind the first one. But the second one was absolute shite. Did you notice the god awful voice over score that played when Electro was about to do something bad? "They laughed at me..."

If you didn't like Avengers, you won't like Ultron.

Did you enjoy the Rocketeer? Joe Johnson directed the first Cap movie, so if you enjoyed Winter Soldier and want to see the backstory, the first Cap is a lot of fun. I'm a big fan of Chris Evans and he has Steve nailed.

Batman Mask of the Phantasm is one of the best Batman movies out there. I actually don't disagree with Carson there....it's fantastic

It's easily marvels best movie to date and works very well as a spy/espionage movie. It's so well executed with a good plot.

As long as you don't start wondering where the rest of the Avengers are as Hydra-Shield is about to murder half the East Coast.

Actually, that's the problem with all of the post-Avengers Marvel movies other than GOTG.

Honestly, as good a Spiderman that Garfield was, these two movies should've never happened. Spidey needed a long break after the trilogy in the early 2000s so that way his return to the big screen with the avengers would be much more exciting and noteworthy.

With that said however.....

Agree with this. I liked the original Spiderman movies and it seems like too quick of a reboot for me to get interested.

Well said Carson. I can't believe the amount of praise a lot of these mediocre comic book films get.
