I guess Jar Jar could have been worse. I have nothing against Best. He did was he was asked to do and seems like a pretty nice guy. If offered a role in Star Wars but I had to play it as a moron, I would still take it. Interesting to note, Michael also campaigned to play Edward Scissorhands and Peter Pan in Hook.

Might of been better as MJ, he wouldn't of been a cartoon for one.

Holy shite.

Those are two of my favorite movies. I can't imagine either of them without Depp or Williams much less with Michael Jackson.

Robin Williams was damn near perfect in Hook.

The studios were forcing Tom Cruise down Burton's throat but he refused. He had almost complete control after his success on Batman. They wanted him to make it have a happy ending too.

Yeah ... Jerry Sandusky volunteered for that as well.

I watched Hook with my daughter this weekend. She wasn't too into it until they got to Neverland. Then I couldn't pull her away from the TV.

Hook is the best Peter Pan m ovie ever for sure.

Love the colors in Neverland, favorite part of the movie is the feast/food fight.

I don't have a problem with somebody trying to get work, but these both were really good movies that would have been unmitigated disasters with MJ anywhere near them.

They would've saved a ton of money on cgi.

If they had used Michael Jackson, they would not have needed CGI for him to look like an alien.

People were also campaigning for him to be the lead in the original "The Crow" film.

May would say he would have gotten shot instead, but no way would the film been the same tone. Even though it's not a great great film, anything with jackson would have made it worse.
