Just started.

It's a really under-rated movie in my opinion. A lot of good actors too...

Really? I always saw a respectable amount of love for it.

"Yes they deserved to die, and I hope they burn in hell!"

The best part in movie is "Rho-Ark" sends that precedent up and Spacey has that FML look. So subtle but forecast the movie.

Friends and I used to get into heated debates over Samuel L's character. I say he did it for his own selfish reasons and not for his daughter. In fact, he wasn't thinking about his kids at all. Which invariably leads to the "if this happened to your daughter" stuff.

Most of John Grisham's novels should be taken as entertainment. If you really look into them, they are pretty much crap.

Still a good movie though. Even though he was guilty as hell for murder, white or black.

This is what bothers me about the film.
Sam Jackson comes off kinda racist.

And in the end, he gets off.
I don't know if rape is enough justification for 2 murders, even if they were race-related.

It's why I read them. They are fiction.

He should have killed those boys IMO, and I would have voted him Not Guilty. The shite they did to his daughter is fricking overboard.

I actually think this is Grisham's best book.

Yeah, a lot of really far-fetched scenarios play out in his books. They all have very similar themes and characters. Still, they are all, for the most part, page turners that you can't get away from.

White trash Klan wannabes frick up a young black girl in the Deep South, and your observation is that her father comes off as racist?

Great movie. I remember the first time I saw it.

Amazing cast, I never get tired of watching it.

I just noticed last time I watched it that one of the scummy, rapist guys is Percy from the Green Mile.
