Jim Carrey would have been interesting... might have catapulted him into fame five years faster

Speed is horrible IMO. "There's enough explosives on this bus to blow a hole in the world!" wow

The only role that Depp could have improved on this list was Ghost Rider and possibly Banner. Disclaimer, I can't stand Depp in 90% fo his roles.

I find this hard to believe. I thought this was cast to be a vehicle for the new Hollywood super couple.

Jennifer Aniston owes Depp a kick in the nuts.

And yeah I think Will Smith was the first choice for Neo. Never heard the Depp thing. And I really can't picture Jim Carrey as Bueller. MAYBE Tom Cruise.

Funny that he was in contention for Bueller with Cruise. Cruise also lost out on Edward Scissorhands to Depp.

He's an absolutely fantastic actor that can play the weird or bizarre, so he ends up in those roles.

He's very, very good, but I can see the dislike of him, as he doesn't wind up in many "normal" roles.

None of these roles had enough face paint for Depp.

He's a good actor that can basically play the weird or bizarre roles alone, so he always ends up in those roles.

FIFY

Depp doesn't have a monopoly on weird roles, nor is he absolutely fantastic (hence his lack of staying power now). The frantic feel of 90% of his characters has grown stale, that will be apparent with The Lone Ranger's take.

Hmm..

No Brad and Angelina if this happens?

Both movie wise and romantically.

I would say that he is better than a good actor. His roles don't do him justice is all. That is why I said that I don't like him in 90% of his roles that he does.

I thought he was great as Dillinger in Public Enemies, really good in Finding Neverland, Secret Window, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, fantastic in Blow, really good in Astronaut's Wife, Ninth Gate, Brasco, Don Juan Demarco and Fear and Loathing.

Most of his acting jobs are very good, it is just that I don't enjoy those really off the wall characters he does with Burton and I don't like his gay pirate Sparrow.

Depp is a good actor he just realized how much money he can make doing mass market stuff.

Movies like Feat & Loathing, Blow are great but they don't buy summer homes in the Hamptons.

Jack Sparrow and the Mad Hatter are worth $$$.

of all the movies, the role in interview with a vampire is the only one i would have liked to have seen him in.
