12x12 pop up canopy and TV
Posted by Happygilmore on 8/31/16 at 11:30 am02
With football starting up and everyone getting ready for tailgating, i have a question that i would like opinions and feedback for.
got no response on OB board....
do you think a 12x12 pop up canopy tent would support the weight of a flat screen TV. i would use two lashing straps to connect it from the tent to the mounting system on the back. i would think if i did it caddy corner the most of the weight the tent would absorb would be on one of the legs, lessening the bowing if i were to hang it between two legs.
the tv roughly weighs 35-40 lbs.
thanks

Those things become airborne and dangerous with a stiff breeze. They make them so light to be portable, and I doubt they'd support an additional 40 lbs. Just get a stand for it or a small table to sit it on. Amazon has 2x4 folding tables for around $30.
