Zach Randolph is one of the more underrated comeback stories in sports

Dude was a bit of a lazy bum coming into the league, but has totally reinvented himself in Memphis and it is just nice to see.
Even as a Pels fan, he has become one of my favorite players in the NBA.

Bit of a crazy story that he learned relatively recently that his biological father actually is from Memphis. Amazing that it is where he ends up turning his career around.
He is the best and just absolutely beloved here.

Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph is once again giving back to the community by helping pay the bills of MLGW customers.
ZBo is covering utility payments for 100 families in need of utility assistance.
Randolph is establishing the Zach Randolph Community Assistance Fund with MIFA.
“It’s time I do this. It’s important to help single-parent families and families in need, because I was one of them, and I can relate to it,” said Randolph in a news release.
For the past last four years, Randolph has donated $20,000 to Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association (MIFA) to be allocated to families in the Memphis area as part of MLGW’s Plus-1 Program.

Love Z Bo. He's kinda what I hope Cousins ends up being on his next team

I'll admit, I thought the guy was a bust waiting to happen when he was drafted.
Now I think he's great. Enjoy watching him play and enjoyed the links in this thread. Good for Z-Bo.

He was a 20-10 player well before he got to Memphis. The difference now is he no longer plays for a dysfunctional franchise filled w/malcontents so he no longer gets caught up in drama

Loved zBo at MSU, but glad to read more stuff like this

Outside of Tim Duncan, Garnett, and maybe Bosh (all three of whom log a lot of time at center), he has been the best power forward of the past 10 years.
If he plays another 2-3 years at close to his current level on his stats alone he should be a HOF candidate. Will he actually make it, doubt it, but still a great story.

He's got that old-man's game. I love it.

I get your sentiment, but you forgot Dirk

pretty sure he's been involved in MULTIPLE weapons/drug distribution allegations in his life. that has nothing to do with teammates

Top 3 greatest human being of all time.
An tough, old-school bully on the court and a compassionate, caring angel in the community.
He's basically the anti-Harden.

This irrational Harden hate has me like . James Harden is a better person than ZBo. Has never gotten in trouble, low key, chill SoCal guy. ZBo is a thug. Drug dealers give out turkeys at Thanksgiving as well.

I agree, good catch. Still not bad company.

What exactly did he come back from?
You forgot Dirk and Pau. I'd also take Aldridge and Amare (before the knee injury) over him. Griffin and Love also, if we're just talking better players, although they haven't played close to 10 seasons yet.

Don't feed the troll bro. I've learned to skip over his posts. Only reason I saw what he posted is because you quoted it.

All those guys you listed have/had higher ceilings than Randolph and a more diverse offensive game.
However, Randolph was/is a better rebounder than all of those guys except Garnett and Duncan, I give him credit for his old school post-up game that should age well with him and other than the 11-12 season in Memphis, and the ability to stay healthy, something he had trouble with at times when he was younger.
