Nah

Jordan is

the Shaq / Dirk combo is as well. The most dominant big man paired with the best stretch 4 ever. That trio is perfect.

Throw in one of the best perimeter defenders ever (who can also handle and score) along with the GOAT PG, who happens to be 6'9. Unstoppable.

PG - Stockton
SG - Jordan
SF - Lebron
PF - Dirk
C - Hakeem

Oh fair enough

I just think individual matchups matter and the ability to switch would matter

PortCity, I would say that around 50% of the people in this thread have this combination or with Shaq/Garnett.

That was my only point, but I happen to agree with the Dirk/Hakeem version.

Another thing to think about here:

You don't necessarily need a Dirk type player if you have Steve Kerr or Ray Allen off the bench with significant minutes.

But that opens a whole can of worms

if you look through all the posts in this thread, then you would understand that the general consensus is jordan and james are must haves. we aren't talking about your personal opinion.

it's not that they are "must haves"

their value is just great, esp with such great values down low (hakeem, garnett, dirk, shaq)

I'm pretty sure thats what most people did, once you choose lebron and jordan it eliminates over 50% of the other candidates. the next step is choosing who is the best out of who you can afford. your third selection is center, either shaq for $2 or hakeem for $1. at that point stockton, garnett, dirk and walt frazier are basically interchangeable and really don't matter.

Frazier $1
Jordan $5
James $5
Nowitzki $2
Shaq $2

PGs are overrated. MJ and LBJ can also handle the point.

The $10 challenge produced more entertainment than the $15.

The key is to save money on PF and C. PF does not have a potential GOAT and center is crazy deep.

I think Jordan is worth the money. The question is whether to go Magic or Lebron as your other $5 player.
