Wasn't there a guy who did a skateboard trick in the summer X Games and he lost his board and fell like 20 feet? I think the guy was okay and no broken bones.

Obama needs to pass legislation to ban the X games. Maybe this guy's family can stand behind Obama at the signing of the bill.

This.

You can race them, but its just stupid and dangerous to flip them and do tricks on them.

They also had one where the snowmobile got away from the rider and took off at the crowd

They look like they weigh a ton. It looked like it took all his strength to pull off the roation on those flips.

I don't know if everyone saw this, but it is very lucky this didnt seriously injure anybody.

It could have run over the rider or a spectator...the one little boy escaped with only a knee injury

This is why I'll never watch snowmobile trick freestyle ever again. I watched it live and I can still run the memory of that crash through my mind clear as day.

RIP C. Moore

Why aren't people calling for changes to the X Games like they do with football?

Btw, RIP to the kid that died. Definitely sad. But I couldn't help but ask that question when I read about this earlier. I feel like there has been a serious injury every single day this week of the X Games.

I'm guessing (and just guessing at the mentality at play here, I'm of the opinion that anything extra curricular is an "assumed risk") that people assume that people participating in the X Games assume the risk that the shite they do is crazy enough that it can get them killed.

Most men/boys at some point or another have played football without issue.

They are actually quite challenging to handle. It's more akin to driving a small car than a motorcycle.

I crashed mine twice when I was around 11 because I physically couldn't get it to corner without a berm build up. That was a little one that could barely go 70 mph.

I grew up riding BMX, motorcycles, and ATVs. I have ridden a snowmobile one time. It was a blast, but it is downright idiotic to be doing tricks on them. It basically weighs twice what a dirt bike does.
