In a sense, I think many would agree that if the parties involved have moved on, everyone else should as well.
However, this event is not something that IMO the parties should have moved on from as easily as they did, and now it is coming back to rear its head

Everyone occasionally has dumb thoughts. Ideas that are not thought through. Nowadays we have technology that immediately transmits these incomplete thoughts, and SJW thought-police types who pounce all over people for it. It's a shitty situation. Celebrities need to get off twitter, society at large needs to understand that people may think stupid things sometimes and it doesn't mean they're terrible.

People just love having a feeling of superiority when a celebrity or athlete's dirty laundry is aired nationally.
