Would you rather be the T-wolves or Lakers GM in the draft?

Obviously the 1st pick is better than the 2nd pick, but as a GM, which position would you rather find yourself? From a self-preservation perspective, the Lakers GM is in the best spot IMO - you simply take the big that the T-wolves pass up.
I view this draft like I did the 2007 draft with Greg Oden and Kevin Durant. That's not to say that Okafor or Towns are on that level, but there is a sizeable gap between them and the rest of the field. If the Trail Blazers take Durant and the Super Sonics take Oden, no one could have blamed Sam Presti, even with the benefit of hindsight and knowing Oden's career.
I believe Mitch Kupchak is in a nice spot. He may not get the player he wants, but it will have virtually no negative impact on his career IMO.

You always want the #1 pick. I always find it retarded that there is "pressure to pick a certain player". You have your choice of everyone. Pick whomever you want.

I don't know that I would call it a sizable gap. I wouldn't be shocked at all if Russell or Winslow ended up being the best player from this draft.

Dlo Russell might end up being the best overall player, and Mudiay is a serious prospect as well.
I'd say there is a clear top 4, then a drop off happens.

portland is just cursed in that department. Passing up franchise/HOF players for injury prone dudes twice.

Fair enough, but it is virtually guaranteed that Towns and Okafor are going 1 and 2.

Well I want Towns so I'd rather be the T Wolves.

What? PG is the deepest position in the NBA, which makes it the least valuable at the end of the day. Wing scorers and elite big men are much more rare, thus worth the picks if you can get one.

Yeah. I'd want Towns. If I'm not in the #1 spot, I'd rather be a few spots down, so that I can take Willey Cauley-Stein without judgment. Elite rim protector is very valuable in this league, even without a great offensive game.

It's like investment real estate. Buy the worst house in the best neighborhood.

Not this year...Even though I would take Townes over Okafor in A heartbeat......
