Would overnight sports talk survive without the Federal Government?

I commute to a different time zone, so i leave early in the morning. It seems every commercial is from the US Forest Service, The USDA, or the AD Council. Almost no business advertise at this time. Is it like that anywhere else?

Would it be a bad thing if overnight sports talk didn't survive?

Huh. Never heard the "I got a Bear Hug from Smokey bear" Patrick Warburton voices the park ranger.

" I'm a banana slug, your sense of adventure."

MARIA left the steaks sitting out over night.

Must be nice.

Radio stations do have to take so many commercials a month from government. part of agreement with FCC.

I guess that would make sense that they play most at less lucrative 'non peak' hours.
