UConn's total domination isn't good for the sport, but it's great for UConn.

That's my thoughts as well. If there was a little more parity and some of the rules were tweaked, I think basketball would draw more interest

Really? I can make it about 2 outs before I can't take anymore of the players yelling and low on-field IQ.

I think its because some of the women's softball team members are better than guys you know.

There are rarely 5 female players in the WNBA who are as good as the two best starters on my high school team. One had a try out with the Warriors and did not make it. Was trying to make the switch from 2 to 1. One got a two year deal with the Cleveland Cavs as point guard, and got off the bench in garbage time. FEW in the WNBA could have covered either of them.

Softball is actually fun to watch and a lot of people find it more fun than college baseball now that the ncaa screwed the game up with the bats. I don't know how anyone watches women's basketball.

WBB has seen a huge decline in the quality of play compared to 10-15 years ago. The lack of parity also hurts--having an Evil Empire isn't good for a niche sport, but it has more to do with the level of play. Too many missed layups, dribbling the ball off their foot, etc.

At least the softball players can catch easy fly balls and throw to first base.

It is and it isn't. You need a known commodity but it can't be one that marches through multiple seasons largely unchallenged. They have one loss and maybe 3-4 games within single digits the last two years.

When I have been flipping channels and I see NCAA women's softball I give it a look and then try to find a MLB game. Same as men's NCAA baseball unless LSU is on and then I admit I watch for a bit and then go to a MLB game.

I know I played baseball with metal bats but if I'm going to watch baseball on tv or pay money to see it in person I'm going to watch it with wooden bats.
