As if the sport wasn't already difficult to watch, how overbearingly boring is it that one team is the 4 time defending champions and just had the first 3 players go in the draft? Does anyone wanna start their own legacy and go to another school or do they just wanna jump on an already dominant bandwagon?

this.

and they think the coach is really good too.

Would you rather play for coach K or JJ?

Yeah I have no idea why anyone would want to play for a team that had won the last four championships and like 100 games in a row. Where's the upside? There's almost no way for you and your team not to be a disappointment.

UCLA men vs UConn Women

FYI I don't think these two really compare, but there are some pretty interesting similarities.

I'm not sure it's 100% good for the game for there to be a total lack of parity. Women's basketball is also guilty of some ridiculous arse scores and a lack of upsets like 110-28 or some shite.

The parity of the NCAA men's is what makes the tournament fascinating to watch... in women's, there is absolutely no parity whatsoever and in fact a monopoly.

There is a serious lack of parity in Women's basketball. Since 95 the only teams to win a championship are Uconn, Tenn, Purdue, Notre Dame, Baylor, Maryland, ATM. Uconn has 11 in that span, Tenn has 5, and Baylor has 2. If you ever watch a one seed play their opening round game, you will notice that the other team really has chance whatsoever. Having said that there has been a 16 v 1 upset in the women's tournament (how that happened I can't imagine), while never in the men's (although I think it is only a matter of time).

here is my question:

How did he get women to go up there? And why can't Women coaches even put a dent into his program????

What does he do or have, to get the best to go to Uconn? It's not like he's in some Beach front College and getting girls to come to a paradise.

Other coaches have put a "dent" into him, with other teams winning from 05-09 and 11 and 12, but he is certainly the best currently.

As far as why, once you get the ball rolling, have good financial support, and lots of fans in the stands (probably less than 10 women's programs actually have this) players will come to win championships. I equate his success to that of Saban at Bama (although it is harder to do this in football). Great all around support and a great coach is a recipe for success.

Edit: Here are the stats for attendance. I wonder how true some of these schools are with the numbers. Some of these big names always have fans in the stands on TV, but some of these i don't know about.

Proximity to Bristol, CT and their vested interest in having a network-friendly, dominant program in their backyard.

Well there you go. You go to U conn go 123 in the draft. Yet another reason to go there. It's not like he gets 123 nation recruits every year - he doesn't. He deserves a lot of credit for coaching and development.

And I'm still waiting for top recruits to abandon Alabama because they win too much

Looks right for Louisville. Jeff Walz has done an incredible job. Until South Carolina came along, I believe we were usually second in attendance behind UT.

Which makes LSU's fall even more frustrating. LSU had all of those components down.
