Oklahoma City general manager Sam Presti flew to Florida and met with Donovan on Tuesday, league sources told Yahoo Sports. A formal offer is expected soon.
Donovan is the only serious candidate in Presti’s search, and the two-time national championship coach is enthusiastic about the possibility of the job – if terms on a deal can be reached, sources told Yahoo Sports.

It could take a contract worth in the $6 million-a-year range to get Donovan, who makes $4 million-plus annually with no state income tax at Florida.

We are?

I'm surprised so many seem to be against the move. Obviously I don't want him to leave, but think he would be successful in the NBA. He runs a great system and his personality translates well to the professional level.

Omg if true:

Well, Durant's pick likely would have been Ollie but he dropped out. I don't know if I would talk to Ibaka but I would at least talk with the other two, especially when Durant is about to become a free agent and Westbrook can be moody.

Guess in Presti's mind he doesn't want to tailor to his players than what he may feel is the best choice for his team. Kind of a bad idea though

I'm hoping beyond hope that it isn't true.

I used to love Woj, but in the last year or two, it seems like he is a mouthpiece for floating things out there or just has an axe to grind (see weird Coach K hit piece).

Woj has been that way for longer than that, just more of the things he floated out there stuck than they do now
