The SEC schedules were released yesterday, and the Week 1 slate is going to be incredible:
Thurs., Sept. 1 South Carolina at Vanderbilt
Sat., Sept. 3 Alabama vs. Southern Cal (Arlington)
Sat., Sept. 3 Louisiana Tech at Arkansas
Sat., Sept. 3 Clemson at Auburn
Sat., Sept. 3 UMass at Florida
Sat., Sept. 3 Georgia vs. North Carolina (Atlanta)
Sat., Sept. 3 Southern Miss at Kentucky
Sat., Sept. 3 LSU vs. Wisconsin (Green Bay)
Sat., Sept. 3 South Alabama at Mississippi State
Sat., Sept. 3 Missouri at West Virginia
Sat., Sept. 3 Appalachian State at Tennessee
Sat., Sept. 3 UCLA at Texas A&M
Mon., Sept. 5 Ole Miss vs. Florida State (Orlando)
The best side effect of the CFB Playoff Committee is the emphasis on quality OOC opponents, and the SEC's rule of at least 1 Power 5 OOC opponent applies starting in 2016.
Although I wish more of these games were home and home series instead of neutral site games, that is still one hell of a slate of games for the opening weekend.

I'm over my SEC alliance. I'm hoping Bama and Ole Miss drop their games.

We have the talent to compete, a lot will depend on who we end up hiring.

I'm going. From what I've heard lsu fans booked all available hotels over a year in advance.

I don't think the hotels being booked a year in advance is indicative of the number of LSU fans attending. I'm sure there will be a lot, but this game is undoubtedly dominated by Wisconsin fans.
All hotels in the Fox Valley / Green Bay areas are the same way for Packers games. Those hotels are booked a year in advance, too.
That being said, there are plenty of hotels still available in the Appleton area, and that is what I would recommend, anyway. A lot of the bars in that city have shuttles that go up to GB for Packers games, and the nightlife is just a lot better in that part of the state.

My mom still lives in my childhood home six blocks from the stadium. Anyone need a couch to crash on? We walk to games at Lambeau
That area right around the stadium has really developed. A bunch of big bars right there. Downtown GB has totally turned around as well.

Usually. How do I say this...it's gotten a bit more "diverse" over the years, and with that has come an uptick.

Can you walk any street there and feel safe????

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic, so I'll answer as if you're being serious.
Short answer, yes. It's a small city in the midwest, so everyone is nice. Most people will be either in the stadium area or downtown, both of those are totally fine.

Out of curiosity I looked up the Crime rate and Demographic
Green Bay had an noticeable uptick is in "Other Races". Maybe Green Bay has a lot of refugees or something.
The only thing that sticks out is the Sexual Assault which is independent of race (The perp typically knows the victim). That whole Northern Midwest to West corridor has a high rape rate for some reason. However that a problem that's been going on for awhile.
It seems safe according to the numbers

only dangerous part about green bay is those round abouts.
