Winston thoughts?

He has over 3,400 passing yards and 22 Passing TD's this year, his accuracy is erratic at times but I think he can be a ben type qb? what do y'all see in him? It is so weird how he is still that same second half qb he was at FSU. I don't think he can afford that in the nfl.
With Mariota who I love, I see an Alex Smith floor and a taller Wilson ceiling?

Josh Freeman in he will flame out in 3 years?

Freeman was much scarier in his brief "prime" in that he was above average at knowing when to tuck and run.
Did Jameis not run much in college? I kept thinking that he had many opportunities to gain eight or 12 or 15 yards and he kept retreating And throwing a bad pass instead.
I'm actually still shocked that freeman washed out I would've bet a lot of money that he would still be the Bucs starting QB

Freeman was really freaking good for like 1.5 years - it's not just me - Bill Simmons loved him too.

He's solid but doesn't wow you.
Plus he's a rapist.

Which, in the NFL these days is pretty nice to have.
St. Louis has had 6 different starting QBs in the last 3 years. Cleveland has had 7. Houston 6.
It's much better to be in a position to have a 'decent' QB than be in that bottom 10 QB position perpetually.

It seems you are reaching for hate now.
For the season.
25 Td's 11 Int 3,502 PA Yards. All rookie records
With two games left he could easily have
30 TD 11 int 4,200 PA Yards which will break any nfl records. For a rookie 21 year old I think that is damn special.

Winston outplayed Brees in first career road start.

I agree.. Nothing special.. But hey. There are about 15-18 quality qb's in the NFL. The rest are garbage............. He is in the 15-18 range.............After those the qb play as a whole is at an all-time low.................

basically that Eagles game was all he's done that just jumps out at you.
this was the first game tonight all season where he threw for over 300 yards. Not that its a big deal but it shows how much the Bucs like to run the ball.
he didn't look like all that good against the Saints the other day. Lowest yards per attempt by him all year to one of the worst defenses in the league... yawn.

Ive watched a lot of his games and he just has a lot of empty stat games, such as tonight. The game was never close. He didnt play well tonight at all.
He hasn't beat a team .500 or better all season.
a funny stat i saw earlier in the week, only 2 QBs have not thrown for more than 1 TD on the Saints all season. That would be Brandon Weeden & Jameis Winston....TWICE.
He'll have his moments, I think Aaron Brooks is a good comparison. He just doesn't seem to have it mentally, consistently.
