people under estimate Wilt Chamberlain. wilt was rumored to be really strong and athletic Schwarzenegger talks about how strong wilt was. It is also said that wilt dislocated Gus Johnson shoulder with a block

Wilt was 7'1, 275lbs. He was an athletic freak who loved to workout. He had size, speed, and agility. He used all the resources available to him in the 60's and 70's to dominate the NBA

You move young Wilt from back then to now, and give him access today's resources, he would still workout constantly and he would still dominate

Just look at the size of old Wilt next to a young Shaq and Ewing.

He was bigger than both of those younger guys

And here is Wilt leading the break and making a very nice pass

Wilt was such a freak that when he played with the Globetrotters, he was the point guard

Wilt Chamberlain also dominated the Phila area track and field when he was in HS.

"Wilt is not a one-sport man, either. At Overbrook High School in Philly, he high jumped 6 feet, 6 inches, ran the 440 in 49.0 seconds and the 880 in 1:58.3, put the shot 53 feet, 4 inches, broad jumped 22 feet."

Post defense wasn't very good back then, outside of a few guys. But Wilt was still pretty amazing.

The 100 point game was a joke.

I think primetime$ found out that his mom was one of wilt's 20,000 conquests. Only explanation.

think sometimes we are led to believe that Wilt just physically dominated players who were smaller and less athletic, and that he would just be a regular player today.

When Wilt came into the league most players were 6'9 pr shorter.

Mattz, come on. Wilt could obviously not compete with the superior athleticism of DeAndre Jordan.

DeAndre Jordan is averaging 8 points per game for his career....

I have a feeling he's have a much higher average if he played against the guys in that video.

So you mean Deandre Jordan might actually average low double digits?

Depends on where their corpses are strategically positioned, if CP3 is present to set up lobs, and if DeAndre has developed an iota of offensive skills.

for someone here acknowledging there was an NBA before 2005, let alone 1975.

Yeah well...I know the guy who posted that video. Totally out of context and makes Wilt look bigger than he really is with the camera angle.

My god, defense fricken sucked back then. Half of the clips, the defender doesn't even make an attempt to defend the shot.

Help defenses were pathetic back then. Today a help defender would go for the ball. Wilt was amazing for his time a probably would have adapted but the power Dibble move that brings the ball down to a guards level is useless today
so how is Tim Duncan effective in today's game doing the exact same thing?
