Why or why not?

The way Baltimore & The Blue Jays are stacked, they probably won't win the devision.

But will the at least finish above.500?

They will finish just above .500, but it won't mattter they will be far out of first. They don't have enough pitching and the Pandoval drama will only intensify with the lack of success

The AL East is completely wide open, but I like them or the Jays to win the division. So I would bet on them finishing over .500.

I think them and the Yankees will finish in the 80-85 win territory. Boston probably a little lower than NYY. It's early but Baltimore looks really good.

Actually I see them right at .500 for most of the year. Don't have consistent pitching.

Who in that division does though? Maybe the Rays assuming Chris Archer isn't broken, but they probably have the worst lineup and bullpen in the division.

Other than Price, their pitching has been garbage. Prolly right around .500 unless they add a key piece at the trade deadline

Projection systems love them, and I think they seem to be at least average, so sure why not?

They'll finish third. I think Baltimore fades. Jays win the division comfortably with NYY second.

There is really no drama. Dude is fat and sucks and no one outside of him thinks he should be on the field. Everyone agrees the contract is terrible but beyond that there is no drama.

Starting pitching has began to turn around. We've had some solid outings recently. Excited to see that. Bullpen outside of Tazawa, Uehara, and Kimbrel is shaky.

The division is stacked so .500 is about where I see this team.

Yankees finish 4th...
I hate to say it but no one has stepped up as the ace this year. the hitting is looking old right now. things can change but that's my perception early on

Pitching is looking pretty decent, but yea that lineup looks lost. Jacoby, woof.

The last couple losses have been entirely on the O. Plus that bullpen is filthy.

Awful series against the Mariners. Like 0-12 one night with RISP.

bullpen outside of Nova is awesome...
Evoldi looked great second half of last year and lost this year, Servino hasn't looked sharped, Pineda has had a couple clunkers and 1 solid game.... not sold on the starting pitching yet.

I don't root for injuries, but Joe Kelly hitting the DL is addition by subtraction. Dude needs to be a reliever, because he is fricking awful as a starting pitcher.

Also Hanley needs to stop watching potential doubles. He must have the most long signals for someone who isn't a fat slob.

Depends on how their division plays out.

If it's highly competitive, top to bottom, then NO.
