Why not? If he plays well in preseason they can trade him in his 3rd year for a high round pick.

Any question that begins with "Why would the Raiders" can be answered with "because they are the Raiders."

I have zero problems with it. I bet Dallas is pissed.

Because they were able to get the best QB in the draft in the 4th round.

I get that. I'm not questioning why they drafted a QB, I'm questioning why they would trade up to get one. Did they really think that all of the good QBs would be taken in 12 picks? There's still at least 5 really good QB's on the board with the kid from Stanford, Brandon Allen, Dak Prescott, the NC State guy, ect.

turn a 4th round pick into a 2nd round pick in 3 years if Carr continues to blossom is a great move

They traded up in front of Dallas because Dallas was very likely to draft him. How hard is that to understand? Didn't you watch the Kevin Costner movie?

Good value. BPA. If Carr goes down, they have him. In a couple of years, could net a first or second round pick if he develops.

Why would Washington draft Cousins in the 4th?

What's even stranger is the patriots wasting their 3rd round pick on Brissett... Why?

Plus, need a backup QB anyways, and this gets one on the cheap

Because their back up is Matt McGloin. He's done well for an undrafted free agent but has a 76.2 career QB rating. It's a smart move that could pay dividends even if it takes 2-3 years to get those results.

Or Gus Frerotte?

Why would the Packers draft Aaron Rodgers? Favre still had 5 years left in him!
