Reggie Bush made decent money in the NFL but I've wondered how good of a cb he could have been with his size and speed.

I would never encourage my kids to play rb, neither are rb size anyway.

Could of been great but injuries are what did him in and I doubt playing Corner would of changed that

no

not being tat great at RB did him in

he got by in college by having an amazing OL open up massive holes for him, allowing him to use his absurd athleticism

he was basically a CB playing RB

You're wrong.

2007(Bush 2nd season) played 12 games before injury was top 10 in the NFL in yards from scrimmage

2008(Bush 3rd season) played 6 games before injury lead the NFL in Touchdowns, Yards from Scrimmage, All Purpose Yards

2009(Bush 4th season) clearly diminished from the beginning but as a backup 3rd in the NFL in yards per carry(5.6) and 8 tds in 14 games. Had his best game in the playoffs destroying the Cardinals

2010(Bush 5th season) terrible season ending in injury. His 3rd major injury of his career

2011-2013 three 1000 yard rushing seasons as a feature RB in more traditional offenses.

I thought about this same thing when Devin White seemed dead set on being a RB. Barring injuries, he'll play LB in the NFL for 10+ years and should have at least 1-2 big contracts in there. At RB, he wouldn't have near the potential and opportunities based solely on the nature of the position these days in the NFL.

Well you could argue that MLB is the second most devalued position behind RB, and possibly just as dangerous/shortlived
