Why is ESPN pushing Danny Kanell so hard?

He has been tapped to replace SVP on ESPN radio. I hate Kanell and will never listen to him. Why is he getting pushed so hard. Espn is really scrapping the bottom of the barrell lately. Are the cuts hurting this much?

I don't care that he trolls the SEC, I just don't think he's a good fit with Russillo.

Kanell is good when he drops his anti-SEC schtick. It worked out well for him getting such a high profile gig.

I think he and Russilo work pretty well together, and I used to really dislike Kanell. Now that Jameis is out of FSU, I think I can listen to him.

I'd prefer to have Dari Nowkah permanently replace SVP but that's just too good for ESPN to consider.

people forget that when he first came out, he was really good. He didnt troll the SEC until a year or so into his role, and he did it to gain attention, obviously. It was a desperate move, but he is back to being similar to when he came up. He's pretty solid and I think he works well with RR

I think this is right, plus I bet ESPN locked him up for cheap. Cheap trolls are valuable to ESPN
