Why don't you like the sport of hockey or baseball?

Can't see the puck. I tried watching a few games but I just can't get into it.

I think it's just that a lot of people grew up without it, so they can't get into it. I have the same problem with the NBA.
You're a lot more interested if you have some kind of connection to a team or player and people in the South aren't going to have that with the NHL.
Hockey is the most fun sport to play, and the second best to watch (after football).

I just didn't grow up watching it or playing it down here in S. La. The few Kingfish games I went to back in the day were a lot of fun as a kid, but I'm just not really that interested in watching the game.

It's great in person. Doesn't translate well to TV.

You don't need to. You can follow it by the reactions of the players. You can't see a fly ball, but you can tell what's happening by watching the outfielder. You can't always see the football, but you can see who's getting tackled or who's reaching for a pass.

It's this for me. If Houston had a team when I was growing up, I have no doubt that I'd be interested in hockey.
